Dulles Plumbing and Drain

The owner came to fix a leaky faucet. I wasn't there but he creeped my 22 and 17-year-old kids out. He told them my pipes were bad but that if I broke them, I could probably get my insurance company to pay for them. He charged $200 for less than an hour's worth, and the faucet leaked the next time I used it. I didn't want him to come back so I complained to the Better Business Bureau. He said he wasn't at fault but that if I supplied a receipt, he would pay me back. HE DOESN'T GIVE RECEIPTS! In fact he said if I paid him in cash, I'd get a 5% discount. But I'd already written the check. So I gave the BBB a copy of the check, and he said he would send me a refund. But he didn't. RUN AWAY FROM THIS GUY!

Fair Dollar has been to my home in Ashburn 3 times in the last year. Each time they have quickly assessed the situaiton, made the needed repair, and charged a reasonable, fair price for the service work performed.
I had a kitchen sink drain repaired that was not installed correctly by the builder. I had a bathroon tub cleaned out and a toliet flapper assembly replaced . . . I would highly recommend Fair$Dollar to others in the area.

After making an arrangede appointment for the next evening, Tully called on my cell phone at 7 pm. and asked when I would be home. "I am on my way now." He then stated that he could be by within 30 minutes and I mentioned that would be perfect . . . He arrived shortly after me, professional, although he mentioned that he had been on call since 7am., replaced the garbage disposal, instructed me on how to operate it if problems occured, AND cleared two toilets that were showing cloggs from time to time . . . The price was more than adequate over past experience and as was mentioned Fair Dollar could do all plumbing work for my home . . . When you need a good Plumbing Experience, I would recommend this company over any in Northern Virginia

Fair Dollar is what they advertise, fair. Tully came out to my house to fix a leaking shower, and he was prompt, courteous and on point with his diagnosis. While performing the work he even uncovered an unforseen problem that the previous plumber did not inform me of. So he not only fixed my problem I had today, he also saved me a future headache with my shower in the future! Highly recommended and real quality service

Tully replaced a pipe for me. It was a straightforward job, but I give him high marks, across the board:
* He did the job well
* His bill was reasonable
* He was prompt
* He communicated well with me
Can't ask for more than that.
I think he must not realize that hiring a plumber is supposed to be a miserable experience

Like most of us here in Northern Virginia, we work all day and get home, trying to relax if possible. My wife called me and said that our son clogged two toilets. I called a major plumber, I will say, he's not Mine... When I saw the cost for just an estimate, it was realized that plumbers are not cheap. As my wife said, he looked at both toilets, but never touched either. He came up with cost that 'fell from the sky,' Over $2600! It was stated that "this unit could not be cleared due to the design".. The cost for 10 minutes of his time was $125, that is 750 per hour . . . I tried the phone book and saw full page adds telling about discounts. Who was fooling Who? I called Fair $ Dollar Plumbing here in Ashburn. I will say this, Tully is smart, has a college degree and I refuse to call any other plumber. I assumed that most of them were not so intelligent.
